Pump Service Capabilities

PDF Print E-mail

Over the past 12 months SAS Water Solutions have been looking to enhance the range of services that we can offer to the industrial and commercial market place as we understand the benefits for lowering the amount of vendors that site engineering managers are dealing with.

To develop this broad range of capabilities SAS Water Solutions have recruited two senior service technicians who worked together for 12 years for a Sydney based pump service company and together have been in the industry for over 30 years. With this wide array of knowledge SAS Water Solutions are able to offer pump system servicing and maintenance for all types of systems and plant.

These systems include;

  • Submersible Sewage / Subsoil & Stormwater Pump sets
  • Potable Water Pressure and Booster Pump sets (inc level & pressure control)
  • Boiler feed and Inline circulation pump sets
  • Oily Water separators and transfer diaphragm pumps
  • Reticulated main and Irrigation pump systems
  • All types of centrifugal pumps & motors; Chilled Water, Condenser Feed etc.
  • Process Plant supply pumps & control systems

Combine these with our current market offering;

  • Reverse osmosis
  • Bioreactors

  • Clarification
  • Desalination
  • Multimedia filtration
  • Nanofiltration
  • Carbon absorption
  • Ultrafiltration

  • Softening
  • Degasification
  • Ozonation
  • Degasification
  • UV technology
  • Sewage treatment

  • Ion exchange

With our technicians having such extensive experience in the field, we can service, fault find and repair all types of pump and control systems with confidence.

Our technicians on top of their Fitting and Machining Trade Certificate hold;

  • Electrical Reconnect / Disconnect License
  • Confined Space License
  • Water Plumbing License
  • Forklift License
  • OHS White card
  • Senior First aid certificate

We can provide;

Routine Preventative Maintenance -

Where the nominated pumps will be placed on our data base. A time will be organised that is best suited to the relevant contact. The system will be thoroughly inspected and serviced. You will be immediately notified if there is any major fault with the system that would inhibit correct functionality. Any other faults or recommendations that are found during the routine service will be noted down on the system report and issued to the contact when leaving site. If required, a quotation will be generated and forward to the client.

Reactive Servicing and Repairs -

Pump systems are very dynamic items of plant due to system and other uncontrollable influences. If any item of plant was required to have maintenance work carried out, the due processes are followed regarding plant shut down procedures and notifications. Depending on the pump size, work may either be completed onsite or back in our workshop depending what is more economical to the client. Repairs and maintenance such as leaking pumps, noisy bearings, insufficient flow, intermittent alarms, low system pressure etc can be turned around with the minimum of system disruption.

Emergency Service Callouts -

As with many of our clients systems, these pump systems are or control critical items of plant or machinery. Acknowledging this we have in place a 24hr emergency telephone which is directed to our technicians who are able to respond to these emergencies and make safe responsible decisions.

Each technician carries all the plumbing/electrical and mechanical equipment required to perform the required task. We also have a fully equipped workshop located at Seven Hills with an area dedicated to holding spare equipment ready for emergency situations. As stated earlier the range offering is extensive; from leaking mechanical seals to full system redesign and installation combined with the confidence that your pump systems are being serviced and monitored by an honest and reliable team, SAS Water Solutions.

VPMF

PDF Print E-mail

It has been well known that a typical filter shows inactive efficiency in treating wastewater due to a fixed pore structure.
VPMF (Variable Pore-structure Micro Filter) is equipped with a filter mounted in the inner flange of the pressure vessel,
which micro-fiber is cut at equal length and then remodeled into a cylindrical shape.  In filtering, the pressure from the
inflow of raw Water compresses the fiber and then the filtering is initiated by the depth of the laminated fibers.

VPMF forms a temporary filter structure by compressing the laminated micro fiber layers according to Water flow, and then,
by backwashing, dissolves such laminated layers or finally the filter structure.  In other words, VPMF conducts a depth filtering
against laminated micro layers, and then easily separates the pollutants gathered between the micro fibers during the dissolution of the layers.

The size of the particles that VPMF can filter are
• 25 micron (LQ)
• 5 micron (MQ)
• 1 micron (HQ)
• 0.5 micron (SQ)
• 0.2 micron (SQ)

Operation principle of VPMF

Filtering Process

The inflow of raw Water through its inlet gradually compresses the cylindrical filter.   If the filter pressure reaches critical (or optimum) depth,
no filter pressure will occur. Through the pressure filter layer the raw Water will be filtered for discharging the Water into an effluent inlet.

Backwashing

In backwashing, Water and air are poured through the effluent outlet, the compressed filter is gradually expanded in an upward direction.
Thereafter the pore structure divides into pieces and the fine air bubble separates the pollutants caught between the filters to discharge it into
the raw Water inlet. At this time, the cylindrical filter slightly vibrates itself resulting in synergism of washing and thus conducts full backwashing.

 Advantages

• Backwashable and long life of the filter
• Filtering takes considerable time because of depth filtering.
• No loss of filter material is expected, and thus there is no need of supplement of filter material.
• Easy to replace the filter neatly.
• Compact design.
• Backwashing time is short. The volume of concentrated Water is little. The treated Water is rarely wasted.
• Available for unmanned automatic operation.
• Cost effective in operation
• A full range of application from smaller to larger capacity.
• Modulized design brings ease of expansion.
• Only replacement of a filter element is required when enhancing the quality of Water.

Micro & ultra filtration in extreme conditions for applications where chemical inertness, high temperature capabilities, mechanical robustness and very long life are mandatory, SAS has the micro and ultra filtration solution.
Acting as Agent for MemPro Ceramic Co, we supply Attaxx Chemical Filtration equipment which offers a typical membrane life of 10 years or more. The equipment is:
• Impervious to most chemicals
• Operational over a pH range of 1 to14
• High pressure tolerant (>1,000psi) to the extent that tolerance is typically determined by seal capabilities
• The end result is high effluent quality (0.06 NTU <1ppl TSS, <1 SDI, 6 log reduction in total coliforms).
